David Wildstein to be Honored as the

2019 David Pavlovsky "Service to the Bar” Award Winner

In recognition of his continuous outstanding contributions and service to the Association, David M. Wildstein, Esq., will receive the 2019 David Pavlovsky "Service to the Bar” Award. The award presentation will be held at The Park Chateau in East Brunswick during the MCBA's 105th Annual Installation of Officers & Trustees Dinner on May 22, 2019. (Click here for event information.)

The Pavlovsky Award was created in honor of the late David Pavlovsky (w/late wife Ceil in photo on left), an active member of the Bar Association from 1935 until his passing in April of 1995. David was the quintessential "Middlesex County” attorney, dedicated to his family, his profession, his community and the Association. The award is presented to a lawyer who carries on David’s commitment to service and represents the best of the Middlesex County Bar Association.

David Wildstein is a shareholder at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. where he built the firm’s Family Law practice, an experienced team of attorneys representing high net worth clients involved in divorce and custody proceedings. For over 40 years he has focused his practice on family law and has tirelessly helped each of his clients, from stay-at-home mothers to corporate executives, navigate the economic and emotional challenges of matrimonial disputes.

As a member of several New Jersey Supreme Court Committees that have shaped the rules and procedures for family law in New Jersey, David has lectured to lawyers and judges at the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Trial Lawyers of New Jersey, the annual Judicial Retreat and at MCBA FamilyLaw Section dinners, and has authored articles on the subject of prenuptial agreements, equitable distribution of assets and custody.

Widely recognized as an authority in family law, David has been quoted by The New York Times, The Washington Post and New Jersey Business Journal on prenuptial agreements and has also appeared on television and radio programs on issues related to family law. He received national attention during his representation of Christina Ferrare in the DeLorean divorce case and represented several other high-profile litigants, including former Governor of New Jersey James McGreevey in his highly publicized divorce action.

David received the Saul Tischler Lifetime Achievement Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Family Law Section for his “lifetime contributions to the advancement of family law in the State of New Jersey,” and the Edward Schoifet Family Law Award from the Middlesex County Family Law Section, for his “devoted and continuous services as a leader” and “dedication to improving the quality of legal services.”

David has consistently been selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers since 2005 and in New Jersey Best Lawyers since 1983.
