The seminar will focus on the following:

  • Motions in Limine with a discussion of the recent decision in Cho v. Trinitas Regional Medical Center (App. Div. December 30, 2015)
  • Motions for Summary Judgment and Motions to Dismiss
    • Case Management Considerations
    • Partial Summary Judgment Applications
    • R. 4:46-1 and R. 4:46-2 Record Support
    • Burden Shifting
  • Motions for a New Trial Pursuant to R. 4:49-1 with a discussion of remittitur and additur principles

This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 1.5 hours of total CLE credit. Of these, 1.5 qualify as hours of credit towards civil and criminal trial certification. (Please note that Approved CLE Courses in NJ are Recognized for CLE Credit in New York.)
