David Pavlovsky "Service to the Bar" Award
Ceil & Dave Pavlovsky
History: The award was created in honor of the late David Pavlovsky, an active member of the Bar Association from 1935 until his passing in April of 1995. David was well known, liked and respected throughout
County and the State of
New Jersey. In addition to being a superb traditional general practitioner, he was extraordinarily dedicated to the MCBA. He served as a member of the Board of Trustees during the 1960’s and was President during the 1970-71 term. David continued his active participation on the Board of Trustees up until his death, helping the MCBA develop into a leader among the state’s bar associations.
Purpose: Created in 2001, the David Pavlovsky "Service to the Bar" Award will be given out annually to commend one bar member for his or her unselfish rendering of continuous, outstanding and/or unique service to the MCBA. It signifies unusual and extraordinary help and assistance that has been given generously and in a spirit of self-sacrifice. It will be awarded to members who truly exemplify the characteristics that other lawyers admire, respect and honor.
David Pavlovsky was the quintessential “
County” attorney, dedicated to his family, his profession, his community and the Association. The Pavlovsky Award is presented to a lawyer who carries on David’s commitment to service to the Association and the profession.
