The Bar Association was formally organized on June 19, 1914. This photo was taken on October 1, 1914, at a testimonial dinner for Circuit Court Judge George S. Silzer and Prosecutor W. Edwin Florance at the Hotel Klein in New Brunswick. Click here to see the text of the Bar Association's Original Constitution.

On May 14, 2004, the MCBA and MCBF opened its newly renovated building in New Brunswick. Cutting the ribbon were then MCBA President Dennis Estis, Assignment Judge Robert Longhi, Chief Federal Court Judge Jack Bissell, NJ Supreme Court Associate Justice Barry Albin and  MCBF President Dennis Auciello.

Programs & Services
The MCBA has a variety of programs and services designed to meet the diverse needs of our membership.

Committees & Sections
We all need to know and meet with other lawyers engaged in like practices. Committee and Section membership is an ideal way to keep yourself informed and one of the reasons why so many attorneys join the Association. Committee participation offers you an opportunity to play an active role in shaping events which influence your practice and the profession, and also provides a social setting in which to share ideas and to hear speakers with expertise in  your field.

Middlesex County Bar Foundation
The Middlesex County Bar Foundation was created in 1991 as the charitable arm of the Bar Association.  It is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to provide law-related educational services and programs to the community and law school grants and loans to Middlesex County students, and to foster respect for the legal profession by the general public.
